PARISH COUNCIL OF
NITON AND WHITWELL
NITON WARD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: –
1. A vacancy has occurred in the NITON Ward of the Parish of NITON AND
WHITWELL for a Councillor to serve on the Parish Council.
2. If ten local government electors for the NITON Ward of the Parish of NITON
AND WHITWELL give notice in writing on or before the 23rd of February
2026 to:
The Proper Officer
Isle of Wight Council
County Hall
Newport
Isle of Wight
PO30 1UD
that they wish an election to be held to fill the vacancies, then a by-election will
be held.
3. If notice is not given as mentioned in (2) above, the NITON AND
WHITWELL Parish Council will proceed to fill the before-mentioned vacancy
by co-option.
