Message from the Chairman

In line with Government advice, residents in Niton and Whitwell have been asked to stay at home during the Coronavirus lock down. This has caused us all to make radical changes in the way we live our everyday lives in order to reduce infection rates and support the work of the NHS. These conditions are most acutely felt by some of the most vulnerable residents in the Parish.

In response, volunteer groups have been formed in both Niton and Whitwell to encourage and coordinate volunteer work in support of our residents in both villages and outlying areas. A Community Response And Back-up group (CRAB) has been formed in Niton and Whitwell to ‘provide local information and services to residents and businesses and help us stay connected’. Details of the CRAB groups can be found online at:

CRAB Niton

CRAB Whitwell

or in the leaflets being distributed to every household.

Both groups are working in concert and are being managed as working groups of the Parish Council. The Parish Council will continue to provide resources and funding as needs arise and in the best interest of Parishioners.

Niton Recreation Ground has been closed until further notice.

Please continue to follow government advice; stay at home and save lives.

Cllr Tim Addison, Chairman
